Make
the lawbreakers pay and with City Of Toronto Act I plan to raise the fines and for
re-offenders I will just double and triple and so on until they either stop their
lawbreaking or just move away.
I
will cancel the city portion of the land transfer fees and the vehicle registration
fee because people of this great city are paying this amount to the province.
I
will put in more red light traffic cameras and bring in photo radar until the drivers
can show that they can drive responsibly within the speed limit.
Remember
if you don't want to pay don't break the law.
I
would upgrade all the roads in this city
The
Transit plan will change as well trolley buses instead of streetcars.
Streetcars
are more noisy steel wheels on steel rails.
Streetcars
are nice in tourist areas
I
plan to lower the ticket price for transit and get rid of transit transfers so a new
ticket will be required when you enter transit.
Electric
Trolley buses are better in traffic and can be pulled aside if it breaks down letting
other trolley buses pass, the trolley bus is easier to bring into operation without
causing a major traffic disruption to area businesses.
I
will set up a subway express downtown service on the Bloor/Danforth Line using
the Lower Bay station during rush hour.
I
will finish building the subway extension on the Sheppard line to Downsview Station,
which would create a continuous loop from Union Station to Sheppard Ave. using the
Yonge and University lines.
On
a quarterly bases I will have a statement on where the taxpayer money is being spent
and how much revenue is coming into the city.
I
will set up an inquiry into why so much money is being spent on our police force.
Our
police force is the best trained in the country and our men and women in the Metro
Police are still being overworked and the taxpayers should know why.
I
want to set up a special police unit in the Toronto Housing Authority complexes using
regular police officers with extra-specialized training
I
want to set up temporary housing units on vacant city land and using the lake by using
barges to stack converted shipping containers for temporary housing for the homeless
and the rent would be for the ones that are able to work they would work in specially
designed programs which would give them the motivation to get a regular job and find
suitable housing for themselves and for those that don't want to work their other
options will be to move to another city.
Drugs
and alcohol is a big problem in this city since the province sells the alcohol products
I will get the province to fund more rehab centres to get rid of those life destructive
addictions and if they do not want to do it then a Toronto tax will go on the alcoholic
drinks in the bars and the beer and liquor stores and if that fails tolls will go
on the Don Valley Expressways and 427 and the Gardiner Expressway and the property
taxes will be left alone.
I
want to build a new jail because the present one there is not enough room
I
want to bring more jobs into the city and that would mean more business tax cuts that's
if they employ people that live in the city of Toronto.
I
would set up an international advertising campaign telling the world that Toronto
is open for business
I
would set up a mentoring program to help people start their own businesses.
I
would also give more tax cuts to businesses that employ handicapped and the disabled
that live in the city of Toronto.
I
would also officially recognize once a year Toronto Business Appreciation Day to thank
the businesses operating in this fine city for bringing all kinds of products and
services to the people that live here
When
I am elected mayor of Toronto I will have a monthly press conference so the media
can ask me questions
A
vote for me is a vote for you
